To all the moms…

This Mother’s Day may look a lot different for you this year. Instead of getting that gray root touch up, pretty manicure, lash fill and botox fix so you can look on point in your IG Mother’s Day post, you’re probably spraying a little root cover, painting your own nails, digging for that mini mascara in your last Ipsy bag you swore you would never need and well…I don’t know a DIY botox fix to list here.

Really though, in the grand scheme of all this isolation and quarantine, I hope you’ve been able to look in the mirror and see your true beauty. To see and appreciate the REAL, natural you that God created…I encourage you to accept it and even revel in your true beauty. Yes, those highlights are amazing and yes, those lashes help you feel beautiful, but I pray that you know deep down you are beautiful to God, to your husband and to your kids and that you can truly SEE all that you are.

So today, curl your hair and add a little makeup, but don’t hide your beauty! You’ve worked hard and lost sleep many nights worrying about those crazy kids, so embrace those gray hairs and eye wrinkles, you’ve earned them sister.

To all the women out there Happy Mother’s Day! Whether you’re a mom, a step mom, furry kid mom, adoptive mom, foster mom, mother-in-love, spiritual mom, workplace mom, mom of a rainbow baby or long to be a mom, I honor you today! May God bless you today and every day, submit your heart to the Lord, receive His anointing and blessings for your life, and run to Him and find shelter when you need rest. May you glorify Him with your life!

And a special Happy Mother’s Day to my Mom!
