The sun rises and sets everyday, you can always count on that!

I love living at the beach. If I didn’t know better, I might even begin to believe and argue that salt and sand ran through my veins. My people know when I am uptight and stressed out, I am running…not walking…to the beach. It gives me life, it brings me peace and I always leave feeling refreshed and hopeful. It’s one of my favorite places to meet God.

We see many sunrises and sunsets along our beautiful beaches, but I was driving earlier this morning and had to stop and take this photograph. A cold front moved in and I didn’t want to get out of the car, but as I sat there a picture of each one of us and our walk with Christ flashed across my mind and as I watched the waves crash into the shore, I was intrigued and wanted to share with y’all!

The waves (our trials and temptations) can look dangerous and huge.

The water (some of the people around us) can be cold and uninviting.

The clouds (our strongholds) can be dark and cover us in shame.

But even with all that, God’s beautiful light is rising among the darkness. His light is shining through the cracks and through our strongholds. His glory is being poured through us and out of us as we are willing. His light is healing the darkness every time we breathe Him in, every time we praise His name, every time we read His word.

In this photograph His light is even touching the water and saying, “Even here…I Am. Even in the waves crashing over your head, I Am. Even in the bitter, cold waters, I am. Even in the dark shadows, I am.”

So let Him be your I AM! Let His light shine in you and through you. Use your brokenness to touch others even while He is healing you. You have a purpose in every step of your journey!  And if you’re struggling today, don’t hesitate to reach out! I’m here for you.
